Rick Statz, from one of the nation's top restoration specialists, Conrad Schmitt Studios, will walk you through "Large-Scale Decorative Restoration for a Fire-Damaged Church & Other Historic Properties."  This presentation will draw from fascinating case studios in the decorative restoration of churches, theatres, and other historic buildings across the U.S.

Based on the experience of the century-old Conrad Schmitt Studios, the presentation will touch on a myriad of issues involved in large-scale decorative restoration.  The highlighted project will be the replication of lost murals, decorative painting, and stained glass for the (1891) Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, whose interior was severely damaged by a devastating fire.  Since 1889, the Conrad Schmitt Studio has been known for their restoration of churches, theatres, and public buildings throughout the country.
