Having attended the prestigious Liceo Artistico in Rome and the
Institute Superieure de Peintre Decorative in Paris, Nicola Vigini, a
native Roman, combines a lifetime of artistic training in Europe and
America.  Nicola's decorative painting commissions have transformed
religious institutions, private aircraft, exclusive residences, and
large commercial spaces into exquisite environments.  He is also the
author of The Foreward to The Handbook of Painted Decoration by
Yannick Guegan, and is currently working on a book on Italian Grottesca
Decoration.  As perhaps the most recognized master in the field of faux
and decorative finishes, he is a sought-after instructor and artist, and
has led advanced workshops with many U.S. and European schools.
Leslie Vigini is a faux finisher, teaching wall and furniture workshops.  She
has a double major in Art History and French and a Masters in
Decorative Arts from Parsons School of Design, Cooper-Hewitt Museum in
New York City.  While living in Europe for seven years, Leslie led studio
workshops and residential projects in Holland, Belgium, and England.
Currently, Leslie and Nicola are directors of Vigini Studios, Inc,
where they teach a range of traditional workshops and lead a summer
decorative painting program and tour in Italy each summer, now in its
sixth year.
